Maya is a Junior at Lake Washington High School in the Seattle area, with a passion for STEM, business, and improving the world. 

As a Director of Outreach at GRASS, a STEM program for middle-schoolers, she learned a lot about curriculum development, mentoring, teaching,  and giving back. An eager DECA member, she had the honored to participate in local and state competitions, the International Career Development Conference, and the Emerging Leader program.

She is a black belt in Mixed Martial Arts and an instructor. Her other interests include NHS and Key Club volunteering, AI, basketball, and music. A Taylor Swift fan, she also has a solid appreciation of rock classics.

Maya is eager to understand the world and help address global issues, tackling them from all angles and with an open mind.
